As if winning the Premier League title wasn’t good enough for the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern, it seems the Blues in the bar were given another boost over the weekend.
Having failed so badly at defending their last Premier League, the west London locals who frequent in their droves are hoping their beloved Blues strengthen sufficiently in order to ensure there’s not another collapse.
With that in mind, transfer revelations from notable journalist Tancredi Palmeri over the weekend have been celebrated. He claimed that, following Juventus’ Serie A title win, Chelsea will receive a €20m fee for winger Juan Cuadrado.

The Colombian proved a rather dismal flop at Stamford Bridge during his ill-fated six-month stint in 2015, though has played a pivotal role in getting the Old Lady to another league title and the Champions League final.
So, the fact Chelsea are reportedly in line for a fee that roughly equates to £17.21m for a man not at all in the first-team reckoning has delighted our drinkers.
They hope a rather large chunk of that will go into buying players this summer as they look to retain their crown.
