Chelsea will be feeling confident that they can finish in the top four this season, even though a few road bumps have threatened to stop that.
Competition is again feisty for a top-four finish this season but Chelsea would like to believe they have what it takes to finish there.
With the talent and ability they have in their team, it would be a big fail for Maurizio Sarri to at least not sustain their place in the top four.
So to ensure he is more confident that his task can be completed, Chelsea must make their biggest signing in years and pursue a game-changing striker.
Although it may seem like limited options are available, AC Milan’s Patrick Cutrone would be an amazing lure should Chelsea have the power to recruit the Italian international.
Cutrone, (who is valued at £27 million on Transfermarkt) is a player with exceptional talent even at the age of 21.
A team-mate to Gonzalo Higuain, a player Chelsea have tried and failed to sign this window, Cutrone would undoubtedly be a far better option for the Blues anyway.
As a player that’s still growing, nine goals in 23 games, (which 11 of those were starts) is a very good return.
Chelsea fans and Maurizio Sarri must be running out of hope in Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata, with both totalling six goals between them this season.
If the Blues did manage to secure the services of a striker like Patrick Cutrone, they can be confident that for now, a top four place would be certain and in a few years, they could be challenging for the Premier League title once again.
