Positive news emanating out of Chelsea despite recent reports

Despite the problems that look to have mounted at Chelsea over the course of the summer, the punters propping up the bar retain a huge amount of support for Antonio Conte.

Indeed, the animated Italian won oh so many plaudits on these shores thanks to his touchline antics and title-winning tactics, so recent suggestions the club were looking to replace him seriously annoyed our west London locals.

So, imagine how well reports from the Daily Mirror have gone amongst the Blues in our bar.

They’ve revealed the Premier League champions insist Conte is going nowhere for the time being, having impressed so much in his first year with the club. A hugely popular figure in SW6, this has gone down really rather well in our bar.

Former Borussia Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel was recently reported to be an option at Stamford Bridge, though is not thought to be under consideration right now.

Perhaps an option for the footballing hipsters out there, though Tuchel recently left BVB on bad terms, having won little silverware in his managerial career thus far.

For now, King Conte lives on.

Landlord’s Verdict:

While Conte may not build a dynasty at Stamford Bridge, replacing him now with so many little top class options available for work would be beyond stupid.

One of the best coaches in the game, the Italian proved his worth during the win over Tottenham at Wembley.
