Chelsea have surpassed a lot of people’s expectations this season as they still remain unbeaten in the Premier League.
Former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri has had a wonderful impact on this talented Chelsea team and all his plans are quickly coming to fruition.
Despite their promising start, there is still work to be done if the Blues want to be at the level Liverpool and Manchester City currently find themselves at with a stronger squad.
Maurizio Sarri is seemingly a hard manager to please and with the transfer window close, The Mirror are reporting that the Blues hold an interest in Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson, a player who has been in terrific form this season so far.
Should Chelsea get their man, what could this mean for the club…
Pressure builds on in-form Morata
Alvaro Morata hasn’t had the best time in the blue of Chelsea but yet this season in-front of goal, he is a much-improved player.
Callum Wilson has been equally impressive with six goals and five assists in 11 league appearances so far and his arrival could either make or break Morata’s solid start.
The Spaniard is a player who needs confidence to play well but 26-year-old Wilson is a workhorse that could add so much more to this Chelsea team.
More depth in attack
Whether Alvaro Morata stays as their main striker or not, you can’t argue there isn’t more competition and depth in Chelsea’s attack.
That is exactly what teams who have title aspirations need and with a number of different options to turn to, the Blues could continue to surprise this season.
