Our Chelsea fans here in the Transfer Tavern are looking forward to their campaign continuing tomorrow as they face Southampton at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League.
Things had been beginning to wobble for the Blues in recent weeks but a win over Spurs in the FA Cup on Saturday was surely the perfect tonic to help fix that.
Surely, then, they’ll be eager to see another win against the Saints tomorrow but whilst we wait to see if that happens we’ve seen another report concerning the future of Tammy Abraham appear.
Indeed, according to The Mirror, plenty of sides are going to try and sign him in the next window on loan with him on fire in the Championship for Bristol City this year.
He really does look a fine prospect, then, but may not play for Chelsea next season – suggesting a loan away could be the best thing for him to progress.
And, according to the report, it’s Middlesbrough who are currently leading the race to sign him as they seemingly prepare for a return to the second tier.
