Every so often, the punters in the Transfer Tavern will be met with a transfer tidbit that gets their mouths watering.
For the Chelsea fans propping up the bar this evening, today’s their very lucky day.
According to Spanish outlet Diario Gol, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has grown frustrated with Sergio Ramos.
Though one of the most illustrious defenders in the world, the 30-year-old has reportedly invoked the ire of Los Blancos’ infamous chief for his performances of late.
They go on to suggest the Blues are keen on the World Cup-winner in an attempt to shore up their defence.
Antonio Conte’s attempts to restore the west Londoners to the Premier League’s top order have so far been undermined by his lack of defensive solidity and the club have been linked with both Leonardo Bonucci and Thiago Silva.
Ramos has won all there is to win both at club level and internationally, though has a reputation as somewhat of a hot-head in the centre of defence.
Would Ramos improve Chelsea? Let us know below…
