Real Madrid and Chelsea come to stunning €40m agreement for superstar

HazardWhat a difference a year makes. Last season, the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern could not stop waxing poetic about Eden Hazard as he spearheaded them to Premier League glory. This time round however, the only cheers in relation to the Belgian have come following reports from OKDario a move to Real Madrid is all but complete.

Last season’s Player of the Year has been one the major disappointments for the Blues as they meekly abdicated their title to the most unlikely of usurpers.

It’s been almost a year since the 25-year old winger scored a league goal for the club and he has been strongly linked with a blockbuster summer exit.

French giants Paris Saint-Germain had been touted as a potential landing spot for the former Lille ace, though it is now claimed Los Blancos have won the race to land him.

The report states a fee of around €40m has been agreed upon between the two clubs, while the player himself is said to have agreed personal terms ahead of a move to the Spanish capital.

Manager Zinedine Zidane has previously spoken of his admiration for Hazard as a player, fuelling speculation he could set for a move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Glad to finally see the back of him, Chelsea fans?
