So, the curtain has fallen on the worst Chelsea season since 1996 and Sunday evening in the Transfer Tavern plays host to a fairly drunken inquest into this season.
A turbulent season in West London came to end with a rather dull 1-1 against champions Leicester City and much of the attention was rightly centred around Blues legend John Terry.
However, with a new manager on the way, wholesale changes at Stamford Bridge are widely expected and a number of players could have been appearing on the books of the Premier League titans for the very last time.
One of those could be Cesc Fabregas, who according to Spanish outlet Don Balon, is a target for Real Madrid.
The 30-year old World Cup winner looked to be a masterful signing during the opening spell of his career with the club, though has since dipped in form.
He was one of the players blamed as Jose Mourinho’s second spell with the club came to an end.
The former Arsenal man is a product of Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy, though his career with the Blaugrana ended on a rather sour note.
Should Chelsea cut their losses with Fabregas? Or does he have something to offer under Conte?
