It’s fair to say that the Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern are getting slightly annoyed by the fact their very best players are seemingly constantly linked with moves away from the club this summer.
The futures of Kyle Walker, Danny Rose and Toby Alderweireld have all been the subject of speculation over the past few months or so, though many of our north London don’t actually believe Daniel Levy will cash in during one of the most exciting eras the club have gone through of late.
Still, one report emanating out of Spain has certainly had our local Lillywhites in a mad state of frenzy. According to Don Balon, bitter rivals Chelsea are considering a hugely expensive bid for star man Dele Alli this summer.
The England international is one of the most exciting talents in Europe, one surely destined for great things and the Blues are reportedly weighing up a €100m offer for the 21-year-old. Now, silly season is indeed upon us and crazy rumours such as this are likely to pop up here and there, though some of our Tottenham-mad punters are pretty scared.
Alli leaving would be an absolute nightmare in any case, especially to a rival as hated as Chelsea.
