Spurs and Chelsea patrons in the Transfer Tavern are having to be held at bay by our landlord, holding contrasting opinions over the results of our exclusive poll.
Tottenham and Chelsea are both fantastic clubs, with plenty of domestic and European honours to their names. They also boast two fine grounds that have served as homes to some of the greatest talents ever witnessed in English football throughout the years.
Likewise, both clubs are enjoying strong 2016/17 campaigns. Chelsea are flying high at the Premier League’s summit, on course for a fifth top flight crown of the Roman Abramovich era, whilst Spurs have put in yet another solid showing and look set to seal Champions League qualification for a second consecutive season.
With that in mind, Transfer Tavern asked our punters earlier this week to vote for which is actually the bigger club – Chelsea or Spurs. Well, the gremlins kept locked up in our ale cellar have counted all the ballots and the results are now in, with Chelsea coming out on top by a 24% margin.
