Shock as Chelsea enter €30m race for Italy international linked with Arsenal

conte6633Rumours in regards to Chelsea’s upcoming dealings in the summer market have had a certain Italian flavour to them as Blues fans in the Transfer Tavern wax lyrical with wide eye wonderment as to who will be coming and going over the course of the summer.

A new name, in the shape of Juventus forward Simone Zaza, has emerged from the fabled rumour mill, according to Tuttosport via

The 24-year old marksman has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs over the past six months or so – including the likes of Arsenal, Norwich City and West Ham United.

Despite being a highly rated player, the intense competition he is up against in Turin has seen him limited to just 15 league appearances with the Old Lady.

With the future of Diego Costa uncertain at Stamford Bridge, along with the continued struggles of Radamel Falcao who is not expected to be kept on this summer, there could be an opening in the forward department.

As Antonio Conte prepares to takeover in the summer, he has been linked with the likes of Edinson Cavani, Romelu Lukaku and Gonzalo Higuain to reignite the Chelsea attack.

Now, it is claimed he holds an interest in the former Sassuolo forward, having worked with him at international level with the Azzurri.

Despite his struggles to get into the first-team, the Bianconeri are understood to value him at around €30m.

Is Conte right to target Zaza? Is he really worth €30m?
