The Chelsea fans here in the Transfer Tavern are becoming concerned for their star striker Alvaro Morata, who is clearly suffering from fatigue at the moment. However, could there be a solution in bringing back ex-player Daniel Sturridge to the club, to ease the pressure on the Spaniard?
England international Sturridge is surely seeking a move away from Liverpool, after seeing himself falling down the pecking order at The Reds. A transfer back to his former club could be a great move in the World Cup year, as it seems Michy Batshuayi doesn’t seem to be at the level Chelsea boss, Antonio Conte expects.

A fit and in form Sturridge, as we seen in Liverpool’s 2013/14 season, is a deadly striker with the ability to grab a goal from the most difficult of angles. This is something Chelsea miss in Morata’s absence and if Conte wants to keep Morata fresh, a quality back up striker is just what the doctor ordered.
A question for the Chelsea fans, would you take Sturridge back as a back up for Morata?
