Rangers patrons in the Transfer Tavern are gutted to hear an exciting young talent could be leaving their club to head down south.
Prodigious talent Billy Gilmour, who has trained with the first team at just 15 years of age and has reportedly been attracting interest from all over Europe, has been linked with Chelsea frequently over the last few weeks.
In fact, Goal reported on Monday that the Premier League leaders had agreed a deal to sign the teenage sensation and The Express have now made similar claims – stating that Gilmour’s fee could reach around £600k.
Gilmour won’t be allowed to officially move to Stamford Bridge until he turns 16 this summer, which does give Rangers some time to convince him into a change of heart. However, The Express describe such a scenario as ‘unlikely’.
Chelsea boast one of the best academy set-ups in England, winning UEFA Youth League titles in 2015 and 2016, and Gilmour represents another impressive addition to their youth ranks.
