Our Chelsea fans here in the Transfer Tavern are looking forward to the summer months in order to see if the managerial position will sort itself out finally. Indeed, as always at Stamford Bridge, it’s proving to be a huge grey cloud hanging over SW6.
Leonardo Jardim has been recently linked with a move to Stamford Bridge this month, with it seeming that the Venezuelan-born man has ambitions of moving up the managerial ladder like he has done so far in his career. With results not going Antonio Conte’s way after some fairly dismal performances of late, the Italian seems very disgruntled with life at Chelsea following two unsuccessful transfer windows which would certainly not have helped matters.
With a new man in charge, there is the potential of new signings, and our regulars will be hoping that Jardim can get the best out of Tiemoue Bakayoko again and, bring in some fellow Monaco superstars to make a bid for the Blues’ third title in five years.
Jardim is having a fabulous time at Monaco, leading them to the French League title surprisingly last season and masterminding Monaco’s current second place position in Ligue 1, despite losing the majority of his players in last seasons transfer window. So, it’s obvious to see why the local blue boys in the bar are getting a little excited over the recent links.
Our landlord has done his usual touting around and scouted TWO players that Jardim could potentially bring with him in the summer…
