Tevez in ‘Crazy £70m Transfer Merry-Go-Round’ Exclusive

I swear, today’s papers are full of absolute tosh. It’s as if they have cavorted to create the ultimate contradictory transfer saga.

Of course, who does it centre upon? Oh, it’s Carlos Tevez; he’s so hot right now.

If you have been under a rock for the past few weeks you might not be aware that ol’ Carlos handed in a formal transfer request and had it turned down, to which he cried like a big baby. The worst part is, he’ll probably get a pay rise for it.

But this, and I must admit ourselves included, has sent the tabloids mad. Where will he go? What will he do? Frankly I couldn’t care less anymore after this pile of tosh.

In today’s Sunday papers, using a collaboration of the Daily Mail, The News of the World and The Sunday Times, apparently Manchester United have been offered their former bench-warmer but face stiff competition from Chelsea who are willing to splash £70million on both Tevez and Bosnian striker, Edin Dzeko. However, meanwhile, City plan on suing the Argentine should he retire from football altogether and will not be allowed to leave in Jan.

Also, did I mention The Sunday Express are reporting that Tevez and Mancini have kissed and made up?

If that wasn’t enough, The News of the World have also said that Torres will quit Anfield in January as a replacement for Tevvo.

Is it just me or is everyone else getting a bit sick of it all? You can tell there was barely any football to write about yesterday because of the snow and these tab journos are just clasping at straws. Here at the Tavern we pride ourselves on the mysterious nature of the transfer market, but if I hear that Tevez is leaving for £9billionkajiliiontrillion to join FC Richgits again, I may shoot myself.

City should let him go and milk the cow for all it’s worth. The man is a moron, he’s earning more a week than some people would in a lifetime and yet he’s kicking and screaming like a spoiled child. If City want to develop as a club, they can’t have mercenaries like Tevez running the show.

Oh and Torres to leave in January? Hodgson may as well dig the hole for himself. He’s already struggling at Anfield, selling the Kopites biggest love would almost certainly kill him off. Well unless he receives an offer of over £9000billion in which he can purchase 50’000 Paul Koncheskys.

Summarising this rant; City should sell Tevez to Madrid for the £45million people keep banging on about. Liverpool should release a statement on Torres so we can all shut up talking about his future. Mourinho should be rolling up his sleeves ready to discipline Tevez back to his best and we should all go outside with salt and shovels so we can watch the football again and forget about this boring mess.
