Chelsea’s season continues to trudge along nicely, and despite a heavy loss last weekend at the hands of Spurs, things are looking good in the main for the Blues.
Maurizio Sarri has been impressive since taking over, and there’s a firm belief among the fans at the Bridge that the club can finish the season with a trophy to their name or at least some element of success.
The Blues have historically always been big spenders over the last decade or so, and with the January window almost upon us in what has appeared no time at all, we here at the Transfer Tavern think that Chelsea could well choose to invest in some new talent for their squad.
There’s bound to be some big names linked, but one man who we think would be a superb addition for the Blues is 21-year-old French sensation, Marcus Thuram.
Currently plying his trade at Guingamp, the forward has bagged an impressive six goals this season as he continues to build a reputation for himself as one of the brightest up and coming stars over in Ligue 1.
Thuram might not be a household name to us over here in England, but there is plenty of time for that to change, and a move to a club the size of Chelsea is not out of the question for the 21-year-old.
Powerful, pacey, and good in front of goal, Thuram would be a low risk signing for Chelsea with bags of potential.
Blues fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
