Cech: Didn’t have much to do, but this wasn’t one of Cech’s best displays. A couple of times he lost his composure at corners when he should have really done better. Rating: 6.0
Azpilicueta: Looked a bit nervous, which is to be expected as he’s not played much. Did a solid job otherwise. Kept Enrique at bay. Rating: 6.2
Ivanovic: Was a very tall and composed figure in the Chelsea back line. I’ve always liked Ivanovic, does nothing fancy but gets the job done. Score 7.0
Terry: Defiantly left his mark on the match scoring in Typical Terry fashion, was unfortuant to get stretchered off with an injury. Always disappointing when you see that happen. Rating 7.0. (Substituted by Cahill close to half time. Did a very good job, looking more like Terry’s natural successor each game).
Bertrand: Looked good defensively, however he is no comparison to Ashley Cole. Rating 6.2
Ramires: Was very lackluster at first, until Liverpool’s midfield opened up as they looked to get the equalizing goal. Rating 6.4
Mikel: Very solid when breaking up the play, but let himself down offensively – per-usual. Also his passing was a little astray. Rating 6.7.
Hazzard: Seems a very driven individual. You could see his drive and vigor throughout the match. However Liverpool were very good at squeezing Chelsea’s midfield, so Hazzard rarely got a chance to shine. Nothing bad on his part though. Rating 6.4.
Oscar: Tenacious. Always looked a threat and was one of the players that made chelsea tick. Was unlucky not to score. Rating: 8.0
Mata: Quality, Quality player. Deserves the acclaim. Was Chelsea’s heart-beat. His skills were hard to deals with for Liverpool’s defense and Liverpool were very luck not to concede due to him. Rating: 8.0.
Torres: Looks more and more like the player he used to be. May have lost a yard of pace, but he’s now using nous a bit more now. If Liverpool hadn’t of concentrated on him, he would have score. But we are talking about madness their, you can’t give Fernando Torres room. Rating 7.5.
Brad Jones: Confident display. Looks to be growing each games, however I’m sure Liverpool fan will be a lot more at ease once Pepe Reina returns back from injury. Score 6.6
Johnson: After going in and out of the game first half, Johnson looked to have more impact on the second half with his attacking play. I know Chelsea fan may have mocked him, but I reckon they would have rather had Johnson at right back than Azpilicueta. Rating 6.7
Wisdom: Looked a bit nervous in the first half, was a big match for the youngster to come into. However with the change in formation Wisdom looked more composed. Score 6.4.
Carragher: Got caught out a lot in the first half for pace, but Carragher was never known for pace. Made up for it second half with a very decent assist, his first since 2009. Not surprising. Score 6.4.
Agger: Made the mistake for the goal and found himself in very poor positions. Did a bit better in the second half. Score 6.0.
Enrique: Shown drive and ambition in the wing-back position, was caught out on a number of ocassions however that is part and parcel. Score 7.5
Allen: Was very poor game for him, didn’t have much impact. Liverpool need to see a bit more from Allen than just pretty passes. Score 5.7.
Sahin: Didn’t make much of an impact either, still trying to get match fitness after being injured a lot for Real Madrid last year. Score 5.5. (Substituted by Suso, 59 mins. Youngster played extremely well and shown some very good skill and vision. looked as good as Oscar which is reflected in my rating. Rating 8.0)
Gerrard: Slow start, but showed the confiction we’ve all seen become as he took the game by the scruff of the neck in the second half . Score 7.0.
Sterling: Was very tricky and shown a lot of pace and maturity. However was shut out by Chelsea for large parts of the game. Score 7.0
Suarez: Didn’t have much of an influence in the first half with the ball bogged down in midfield. Was his busy self in the second half posing a real threat. Great poachers goal. Score 8.0.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
