Chelsea’s transfer activity has become somewhat of a mystery amid the ongoing circus in Manchester, though the Blues in the Transfer Tavern are still ferociously searching the web for rumours and reports.
Amid the proverbial silly season, the ever churning rumour mill is likely to throw up some rather bizarre transfer tidbits.
Perhaps the most left-field rumour for the West London locals to process has been one that surfaced recently, regarding a shock Antonio Conte move for former Manchester United and City forward Carlos Tevez.
Currently with Boca Juniors, the 32-year old was signed under Conte while the pair were at Juventus, winning a Serie A title together.
Though getting on a bit, the vastly experienced Argentina is undoubtedly one of the most clinical foreign exports in Premier League history, winning the top English honour three times during his glittering career.
However, the ex-West Ham striker has revealed that while the Stamford Bridge giants are keen on brining him back to Europe, he is happy with Azul y Oro.
“I’m fine at Boca,” said the 32, year-old, he told Italy’s Corriere dello Sport (sourced from Sky Sports.)
“Indeed my idea, my dream is to finish my career as a player in this wonderful club.
“Europe? Yes, it’s true Napoli and Chelsea seek me, but I repeat what I said before. My desire is to stay at Boca until I retire.”
Could Tevez still do a job in the Premier League? Let us know below…
