Chelsea fans here in the Tavern are hoping for a successful next couple of years, as they eye up another Premier League title success at the Bridge.
The Blues haven’t hit the high standards set from last season’s trophy-winning campaign, as glory has soon turned into despair for the Pensioners after the departure of influential players and the inability to fill the void has cost them dearly. One man in particular who the blame can be put largely down to is Antonio Conte, as his decision-making has cost the Blues on numerous occasions so far this season. Obviously, this has often caused for masses of criticism to be thrown his way, as previous links pointed towards an inevitable exit from Stamford Bridge for the Italian.
However, those remarks have been swiftly retracted in recent times as the Blues faithful have accepted that last season’s glory would be almost impossible to repeat. All of this has seen Conte speak highly of the football club and his time in the English capital, as he only has intentions to live out the remainder of his contract at Stamford Bridge.
Indeed, with previous rumours suggesting his intentions were to seek a return to the Italian national side, Chelsea’s Twitter account took to notifying fans of comments made by manager Antonio Conte, as he stated that his desire is to respect the 18 months left and continue to work with the Blues.
Conte says his desire is to respect the 18 months left on his Chelsea contract and continue his work here, despite speculation over the Italy national team job.

Following the club’s post, fans were quick to support the manager as they hope the board can do the same too after a lack of power with a say in transfers has caused for an unhealthy relationship with Roman Abramovich so far.
Nevertheless, here’s a look at exactly the sort of reaction being given off on social media…
If he stays and the board back him properly for the next season, I'll be happy. He deserves a proper chance with proper players

Don’t stay Antonio. The board will make sure your hair falls out by the end of 18 months

Conte deserves at least a two year contract extension. He won us Premier League last season, we can't expect to win every match.

Give him the players he wants rather than getting the players that cost less. We are not Arsenal. We are Chelsea.
