West Ham snub sees Chelsea battle Spurs in £31m race for lethal forward

The rivalry between Spurs and Chelsea needs little stoking, especially after a few Transfer Tavern pints.

Still, the notion of a player getting between the two adds extra spice to the jabs and jibes the two sets of supporters give each other, making it hilarious watching for the rest of the punters in.

According to the Daily Mirror, the Blues are ready to enter the race to land Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi this summer.

The Belgian has been touted as a target for both Spurs and West Ham United, though he is thought to have snubbed the Hammers in a quest for Champions League football.

Spurs, meanwhile, are understood to be wary of spending big money on the 22-year old as they close in on a deal for Dutch international Vincent Jansesn.

With that in mind, the Blues are reportedly considering a move as an alternative for the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Alvaro Morata as they bid to reignite their strike force.

Is Batshuayi worth the hype?
