Our Chelsea fans here in the Transfer Tavern have put the champagne on ice already this season.
You can’t blame them either as we head towards the business end of the season with their lead at a pretty unassailable looking nine points from Tottenham in 2nd.
The likes of Spurs will still feel they can reel the Blues in but Stamford Bridge really does look to be the place to be at the moment and – speaking to Turkish newspaper Fanatik (via The Daily Mail) – Hakan Calhanoglu appears to want a piece of the action.
The Bayer Leverkusen midfielder is one of Europe’s brightest young central players with his ability from free-kicks really something to behold.
Indeed, he should only get better at the age of 22-years-old and our landlord thinks a move to Chelsea could just provide him with the platform from which to get better.
The Turkish player said of his dream move:
“God willing, I will be a Chelsea player next season.”
You can’t really blame him for wanting to play for the London side at the moment, either, and our landlord thinks Antonio Conte should be thinking about a move if he wants him because it’s surely more than likely to go through.
