Chelsea’s summer signing set for January departure

Papy DjilobodjiChelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern can’t quite get their head around the latest piece of gossip, which suggests a summer signing is on his way out already.

TalkSport suggests that Pap Djilobodji could make way in January to join Turkish outfit Besiktas, leaving the Premier League without making a single appearance in the competition.

The 26-year-old arrived in West London on Deadline Day to bolster the Blues defensive ranks but has so far made just one appearance for Chelsea, which came in a Capital One Cup game with Chelsea.

Question-marks were immediately raised when Djilobodji was left out of the club’s Champions League squad and it appears that the Senegalese international could go down as one of the worst signings in Chelsea’s history.

With the likes of John Terry, Gary Cahill and Kurt Zouma ahead of him in the pecking order, Djilobodji is running out of time to make an impression in England and he looks likely to become the latest in a long-line of disastrous signings for the Blues.

The fans at the bar are furious with the fact that their club keeps spending money on players that fail to remain at the club long-term, having seen Mohamed Salah, Juan Cuadrado and Felipe Luis leave Stamford Bridge soon after their arrival.

Chelsea fans, what on earth has happened here? Who is to blame? Let us know in the comments below!
