Chelsea’s transfer hopes not dead yet after ‘nonsense’ reports

ReusMetro are keeping Chelsea fans busy here in the Football Transfer Tavern after handing them some Marco Reus hope.

The German international star is of course on the move in the summer and like all good players, a saga seems to be brewing regarding his potential whereabouts following the conclusion of his Borussia Dortmund career.

Reports had surfaced that the German was on his way to Real Madrid and that of course left a fair few clubs quite disappointed, namely Chelsea who were rumoured with a switch.

However, after the player’s agent came out and made it very clear that the ‘reports were blatant nonsense’, we think that Jose Mourinho may well fancy his chances after all.

The Blues would still face tough competition from Real Madrid and probably Manchester United as well but as our landlord notes over a pint and game of darts at the bar, it is a huge boost for Chelsea to know they are even still in the race for Reus.

Chelsea fans. Is Marco Reus the final piece in the Chelsea jigsaw or should you be looking to add one more top class centre back or defensive midfielder? Let us know your thoughts below.
