Christian Eriksen has been one of Mauricio Pochettino’s key men this season as Tottenham Hotspur continue their charge for silverware.
Doubts have arisen in the past about the Denmark international’s future at the club and one new claim appears to have sent those concerns spiralling with their latest take on the story.
What’s the News?
According to El Chringuito TV, Eriksen wants to leave Tottenham for Real Madrid this summer.

Journalist Jose Alvarez Haya reported following their Champions League win against Manchester City that the Denmark international’s relationship with Daniel Levy and the board had ‘broken’ amid disputes about his wages, thought to be worth around €2million-a-year (£1.7m).
There have been doubts about Eriksen’s future at Tottenham for a while now, so it does not come as a surprise to hear that Real Madrid are thought to be interested in the playmaker as El Chiringuito TV have a focus to the La Liga giants with their transfer reporting.
However, what they are claiming could be pretty big news and if true, something that could really hurt Spurs when it comes down to trying to keep him at the New White Hart Lane Stadium.
Levy is notorious for trying to keep his wallet as tight as possible, but he may have to increase the 27-year-old’s wages significantly in order to do so, although if their relationship is ‘broken’ as claimed, then the club might have to consider selling him in the summer for a fee.
Eriksen’s current deal at the club expires in the summer of 2020, which may not leave Tottenham a lot of time to consider their options or to try and convince him to commit to a new deal.
