City facing PL competition as they eye promising 17-year-old

Our Manchester City fans here in the Transfer Tavern are feeling a little more positive this week after beating Arsenal on Sunday and are pleased to see the latest transfer rumour in The Daily Mail.

The rumour in question concerns young 17-year-old Idris Kanu of Aldershot Town who is creating quite the name for himself down in the National League at the moment.

City are reportedly keeping abreast of his progress with the non-league outfit but could face competition from Leicester City who are also reportedly keen.

The Foxes know all too well what talent from the lower tiers of English football can do with the likes of Jamie Vardy on their books so we could be set for a Premier League tussle between the two.

Kanu is a rapid player who can play up front or in midfield and came through the West Ham academy before finding himself with the Hampshire club.

Aldershot are currently tenth in the National League standings and sit nine points off the play-off places whilst our landlord thinks such a signing could be inspired for either City or the Foxes.

Would you take Kanu, City or Leicester fans? Let us know below!
