Mario Balotelli has been the source of speculation in the Football Transfer Tavern ever since his training ground fight with Roberto Mancini yesterday which left his future with the Eastlands club in doubt.
Today Mail Online journalist Ian Ladyman has confirmed that the club are preparing to sell the maverick Italian striker as soon as possible after Mancini conceded that it was time to move him out of the club.
While City insist the 22-year-old is not for sale, it appears that they are ready to sell after his poor performances on the field, scoring just one goal this season, combined with his poor off-the-field attitude.
Maninci is usually Balotelli’s biggest supporter but it’s possible that the Italian has had enough with the youngsters antics and he spoke for the first time yesterday. He told journalists that he would give Balotelli ‘a hundred chances to change’ and confirmed that the former Inter man would be in squad for the FA Cup tie at Watford today.
AC Milan are favourites for his signature but City are adamant on a permanent transfer rather than the loan that the San Siro outfit want which means it is more likely Balotelli will be sold in the summer.
