CL side name price for winger; West Ham keen to do deal

The West Ham fans in the Football Transfer Tavern don’t know what to make of this…

West Ham’s transfer business over the summer has drawn the ire of the Hammers in the Tavern all season long – and nobody has disappointed more than Turkish winger Gokhan Tore.

The ex-Chelsea man arrived on a season-long loan over the summer and has done very little to repay the £2.5 million loan fee that the Hammers paid for him to come to the Premier League, and it would appear that Bilic is ready to send him packing.

According to the Sun, West Ham are keen to offload Tore – but that deal will come with one caveat. Bestikas are reportedly demanding that should Tore return; they will not pay West Ham back the £2.5 million that they paid to bring the Turk to London for the entire season.

This could be a deal breaker for West Ham, as whilst £2.5 million is very little in the modern game; it remains a hefty sum to just be thrown away by the London giants.

Currently on the sidelines after suffering an injury, Tore has made just 3 starts in the Premier League – and has made just 1 assist in the process.

The West Ham fans in the Football Transfer Tavern have been very disappointed with Tore this season, owing to his inability to make an impact in the Hammers first team. They think that West Ham should cut their losses on him – but only if they can bring in a worthy replacement.

Tore definitely has talent, though – as you can see below.
