Claude Puel eyeing reunion with winger as his first Leicester City signing

The Leicester City fans in the Transfer Tavern have told us that they are curious to see how new manager Claude Puel performs.

His record at Southampton was respectable, leading the Saints to the final of the League Cup and helping them achieve an 8th place finish.

He is now tasked with lifting Leicester City up the table after a poor start to the season under Craig Shakespeare.

The January transfer window will be the first opportunity for Leicester City fans to see Puel stamping his own personal mark on the Foxes’ squad.

And, according to reports back in France, he is eyeing a reunion with Hatem Ben Arfa.

French media outlet RMC Sport are reporting that Claude Puel could consider making a move for the PSG man, who has fallen out of favour with the French giants.

Ben Arfa knows the Premier League, having played for Newcastle United and Hull City between 2010 and 2015.

Leicester are eyeing reinforcements in the attacking departments and Puel likes Ben Arfa.

They maintain good contact and a deal could be struck, although this deal is still only at the stage of speculation.

Our landlord would be interested to see if Ben Arfa can rediscover his best form under Puel again.
