Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern will have been disappointed with the lack of transfer activity surrounding the club this summer as they prepare to improve on last season’s poor showing.
The Toffees made changes at the top with the appointment of Marco Silva as their new boss, however, he has failed to make any additions so far during this window, although there was a sense of reducing his squad being one of his priorities.
The Goodison Park outfit have already offloaded Wayne Rooney this summer, with the former England international heading to the MLS and teaming up with DC United, however, it appears they could have a battle to keep one of their talented prospects in Merseyside.
According to the club’s official Twitter account, Red Bull Leipzig’s dual sporting director and manager Ralf Rangnick has claimed that he wants to bring Ademola Lookman back to the Bundesliga following his impressive six-month spell with the club.
#Rangnick with a transfer update: "I think 3 more signings is realistic. We're still in talks over @Alookman_ – we want him back and he wants to come. We're also looking at something in central midfield, whether that's a no. 6, 8 or 10." #DieRotenBullen pic.twitter.com/TVK4KTCvCz

Whats more, is that the coach also states that the winger also wants to return to the German outfit, despite the Toffees having thought to have stood in the way of a possible deal in the past.
The Everton fans will have been impressed by what they saw from the England Under-21 international during his time at Leipzig, as well as the short spell he has had at Goodison Park.
Many of the locals questioned why he had originally been allowed to go to the Bundesliga and will be hoping the Toffees can keep him and use him in a more regular role for them in the Premier League in the upcoming campaign as they chase European football.
