Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have grown accustomed to seeing their best and brightest ply their trade elsewhere to gain experience and they’ve become really excited about one player in particular.
It seems Charley Musonda could spend another season away from Stamford Bridge though, as Mundo Deportivo quotes Real Betis’ president as stating positive talks have been held regarding an extension to Musonda’s stint in Spain.
The 19-year-old has been in brilliant form since joining the Spanish side and has cemented his spot in the starting line-up, with the attacking midfielder becoming a crucial part of the Spanish minnow’s side.
President Haro Garcia is keen for Musonda to stay put with Betis for another year and confirmed discussions have been held between the two club’s and the teenagers family.
Whilst Musonda is tipped for a bright future at Stamford Bridge, he’d struggle to force his way into the first-team squad at Chelsea so an extended stint away on-loan would be the best course of action for his development.
Chelsea fans, how impressed have you been with Musonda? Let us know in the comments below!
