‘Come back please’ – Chelsea fans plea for 24-year-old’s return following Bournemouth loss

Chelsea supporters have been drowning their sorrows in the Transfer Tavern in the last few hours after seeing their side go down 3-0 at home to Bournemouth in the Premier League on Wednesday night, thus seeing them drop below Liverpool in the table.

Antonio Conte’s men went into their clash with the Cherries having seen Jurgen Klopp’s Reds get the better of Huddersfield on Tuesday evening, thus moving them level on points with the defending champions. However, the Blues were humbled by Eddie Howe’s side at Stamford Bridge, with goals from Callum Wilson, Junior Stanislas, and Nathan Ake sealing a massive victory for the South Coast outfit, at the same time instigating Chelsea’s fall to fourth behind Liverpool on goal difference.

As such, there have been many disappointed and angry Blues fans in the Tavern in recent times, several of whom have already forgotten about Wednesday’s woeful display at Stamford Bridge and instead are turning their attentions to Monday’s clash at Watford.

Yet several Chelsea fans did take to Twitter to bemoan their side’s poor performance against Bournemouth, with many replying to a tweet sent by former striker Michy Batshuayi, who left the club earlier on deadline day to sign a loan deal with Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund.

The 24-year-old has struggled to convince manager Conte of his capabilities since moving to West London back in 2016, despite managing 19 goals in 53 appearances for the Blues, many of which coming as a substitute.

And many Blues supporters called for the Belgium international to return to Stamford Bridge after seeing their side produce a toothless attacking display on Wednesday…
