Liverpool are rumoured to be looking at the possibility of taking Spurs pair Vedran Corluka and Niko Kranjcar to Anfield in the summer. Both players have become frustrated at the lack of first team opportunities this season and may look elsewhere should this situation not improve.
The surprise form of Alan Hutton has seen Corluka pushed to the sidelines while Gareth Bale has been ever present on the left this season. Redknapp is spoilt for choice in the middle of the park with both Van der Vaart and Luka Modric playing ahead of Kranjcar.
Redknapp would be willing to sell both for a combined deal of up to £10 million. That is a price Liverpool are prepared to meet as they continue to rebuild under Kenny Dalglish. It is thought the Liverpool manager sees the Croatian pair as ideal targets due to their Premier League experience.
Dalglish sees Corluka’s versatility as a key asset as he would be able to operate in the heart of defense or provide cover at right back for Glen Johnson and Martin Kelly. Kranjcar is seen as someone who can add some creativity to the Liverpool midfield, and could provide good service to new strikers Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez.
Whether Redknapp would be willing to sell to a rival Premiership club is questionable however. He may prefer to see players sold to a club outside the Premier League. While Kranjcar has recently made a few cameo performances coming off the bench recently and it remains to be seen whether he can re-establish himself in the Spurs first team line up.
