The Leicester City fans who are competing in a darts tournament in The Transfer Tavern this evening are discussing reports that their star striker could see his suspension extended.
The Guardian is reporting that Jamie Vardy who was sent off for a second bookable offence in Sunday’s draw with West Ham could see his one match ban extended.
The reason the striker could be facing a longer term on the sidelines, if referee Jon Moss puts in to his report that the England international used foul and abusive language towards him before leaving the field after being sent off.
Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri was quick to defend Vardy who doesn’t think the striker deserved a second yellow for diving by saying “He never dives. He’s always good.
“He’s very fast and at this speed, if you touch even a little then … But it’s OK.”
The Leicester fans in The Tavern agree with their manager and hope the referee just see Vardy’s comments as heat of the moment rather than report him for it.
