The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern weren’t all too disappointed when Alberto Moreno wasn’t selected against Everton over the weekend. The Spaniard hasn’t been a favourite amongst supporters this season, owing to his disappointing recent form, and so Andy Roberton’s recent opportunity in the side was welcomed.
However, that being said, Moreno remains a part of the Liverpool squad, and given how many games are coming over the course of the festive period, he will no doubt have gotten game time if fit. Now, though, according to Klopp – that could be an impossibility.
Discussing the Spaniard ahead of Liverpool’s upcoming game with West Brom, Klopp has revealed, via Ben Dinnery on Twitter, that Moreno could be out for as long as six weeks – with no definitive date yet set for his return.
Still no definitive timeline on when Alberto Moreno will be back in action, but Klopp says it could be around six weeks. #LFC

That’s a significant blow for Liverpool, as it now leaves them dangerously short in his position. Though this will give Andy Robertson a much-needed chance to shine, Liverpool will be in a bad spot if he also picks up an injury.
The Reds have some big games on the horizon, and so Jurgen Klopp will have loved to have been able to call upon everybody in his squad. Now, though, that looks like an increasingly unlikely situation for him.
The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are concerned at Klopp’s lack of options in the role over the coming weeks.
Moreno is a frustrating player, but Liverpool’s squad is thin, and so his role is an important one.
This is good news for Andy Robertson, but for Jurgen Klopp – not so much.
He’ll be wanting Moreno back as quickly as possible.
