PSV Eindhoven midfielder Kevin Strootman has emerged as the latest target for Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini, according to radio station talkSPORT.
The Dutch midfielder is no stranger to transfers, having already made a double transfer this year. Strootman moved from Sparta Rotterdam, to Utrecht and on to PSV in the space of just six months.
In what has been a whirlwind year for Strootman, it could potentially get better as he has reportedly attracted the interest of Real Madrid and Inter Milan as well as Man City.
The 21 year-old Dutchman has been a stand out performer in the Eredivisie in the last 12 months and he has been rewarded with six caps for Holland so far.
With Yaya Toure going away to the African Cup of Nations in January, Roberto Mancini wants to strengthen his central midfield and compensate for the loss of Toure for around a month.
Scouts of both Man City and Real Madrid were present as Strootman scored for PSV in their 3-3 draw with Hapoel Tel Aviv in the Europa League and he could be braced for a transfer tussle between the two sides.
