Arsenal fans have been distracted in the Transfer Tavern today by interesting reports that have emerged, confirming that the Gunners are in the market for a midfielder in January.
Nwakali has admitted in the past that he’d love to play for Arsenal and is highly-rated following his performances in this summer’s U17 World Cup, where he captained the successful Nigeria side and picked up the award for the Most Valuable Player.
The signing of the midfielder would be unlikely to provide an immediate first-team boost for Arsenal and would be one for the future, in a similar fashion to the arrival of the impressive Krystian Bielik last January.
Arsenal face competition for the player’s signature though, as it’s stated Chelsea and Udinese are both chasing Nwakali.
Our fans are pleased to see their side continuing to line-up deals for talented players for the future but have admitted concern as they believe the priorities should lie in other areas, with the Gunners pushing for the Premier League title.
Arsenal fans, surely Nwakali wouldn’t be enough to wet your appetite? Does this deal excite you? Let us know in the comments below!
