Arsenal scouts in France are reportedly monitoring the progress of young defensive midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia. The 18-year-old, who is currently playing his football in Ligue 2 with Lens, has impressed Gilles Grimandi with his displays so far this season, so much so that the Frenchman has sent glowing reports back to the north London club about the player.
The France Under-19 International has been labelled a player of great potential and a bright prospect for France by respected pundits in his homeland.
Lyon and Lille are also thought to be interested in Kondogbia’s services. However, Arsenal would appear to be favourites to land the young midfielder thanks to Arsene Wenger’s French connections.
Arsenal are reportedly preparing to launch a £3.5 million move got Kondogbia next summer.
