The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern have been delighted with Mauricio Pochettino’s approach to youth develop in recent years…
Often keen to utilise young players in the first team, Pochettino has made it his mission to bring down the average age of his squad with an influx of youth.
Players like Dele Alli and Eric Dier have come in as youngsters and honed their craft at White Hart Lane, whilst Harry Kane has come through the developmental system at the club.
The next player that looks likely to follow in the path of Kane is young Harry Winks, who Mauricio Pochettino has been slowly embedding into the Tottenham first team this season.
Impressive when he has been given a chance, Winks looks destined to make it – and the young Englishman has now been rewarded for his good start to life in the top flight.
As per Tottenham’s official Twitter, Winks has signed a new deal with the club that he will see him remain at White Hart Lane until 2022.

This has come as a huge boost to the Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern, many of whom think that Winks could find himself in the Tottenham first team by the end of the season.
Winks has made 25 appearances this season, mostly as a substitute, as he looks to grow his role in a Tottenham shirt.
