Contact made as Man City reportedly consider making huge move for title rivals’ key man

Our Manchester City fans here in the Transfer Tavern are really looking forward to seeing how this season is going to play out for their side.

The men from the Etihad have had a top summer with the likes of Kyle Walker and Benjamin Mendy arriving and that has led many people to say City are the favourites for the title this year.

Indeed, they started the campaign in fine style against Brighton as they chalked up a 2-0 win and it looks as though the summer window could just end with a supreme flurry.

Indeed, according to Don Balon – via The Manchester Evening News – Pep Guardiola has contacted members of Eden Hazard’s team over any potential transfer for the Belgian before the end of the campaign.

The superb winger really is a world class talent and would get into many teams in the world and so it makes sense as to why City would want him.

And, with Chelsea already looking in a bit of disarray, it could be suggested that he might fancy a move away to City.

Certainly, it really would be a massive deal if it was to happen.

Landlord’s Verdict

Chelsea, of course, aren’t going to want to sell Hazard to one of their title rivals but if City can unsettle him and he decides they are the better team to try and win the league this year, a move could just happen.

If it did, then, you might as well hand the club the title because City’s attack would be utterly devastating with Hazard in it too.
