Conte preparing for 23-goal forward to be at Chelsea next season – report

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have been very impressed with the fine form of Tammy Abraham this season. The Englishman enjoyed a fantastic campaign last term with Bristol City, scoring a total of 23 league goals throughout the season, and he has continued to impress this term. With 4 league goals in the Premier League already this season, he’s on course for another sensational campaign with Swansea City too.

His fine form has certainly caught the attention of the fans in the Transfer Tavern, and it appears as though Antonio Conte has taken note of it too. According to the Evening Standard, the Englishman is highly rated both by Chelsea and Conte, and he has reportedly been ‘earmarked’ for a role in the first team next season. Whilst he isn’t able to be brought back this term, it appears as though there could genuinely be space for him next season, particularly if he continues to impress.

He’s certainly doing all the right things so far, with his technical skill, quality on the ball and lethal goalscoring ability clearly making an impact in the English top flight.

When you consider Chelsea’s current options, which are limited beyond Alvaro Morata, he could certainly have an impact. He’s certainly done better than Michy Batshuayi this season.

Landlord’s Verdict

A lot can happen between now and next season, with Chelsea looking likely to invest upfront in January, but Conte won’t be able to ignore Tammy Abraham if he picks up another career-high tally.

The 23 goals he scored last season proved his quality, and now it’s time to do the same in the Premier League. The rewards could be massive.
