Everton have made a miserable start to the season under Ronald Koeman and could well be looking at removing their manager in the not too distant future if results do not begin to pick up.
Our landlord here in the Tavern is thinking that the Toffees need to seriously step their game up, and after spending so much money in the summer, the pressure is bound to mount on their Dutch manager the longer things go on like they are at the moment.
However, if the club do decide to move Koeman on, there will be a big decision to be made around who comes in. One man though who could come in and do a job in his opinion is former manager, David Moyes.
Things have not gone well for Moyes since he left the club for Man United the first time around, however, as an option to come in and steady the ship if it continues to sink under Koeman, Moyes could be the ideal candidate.
It might be a controversial choice, but bringing in someone who knows the club so well and who wouldn’t need time to adapt to his surroundings might be the ideal sort of move for the club as a whole.
His record for the Toffees before got him the job at Man United, and there’s no reason he can’t go on and do a similar job with a much improved Toffees squad to that he had there during his previous stint.
Everton fans, would you take Moyes back? Let us know!
