Coyle tracked Weiss at Burnley but decided not to move for the young winger as he had the likes of Chris Eagles, Wade Elliott, Robbie Blake and Fernando Guerrero at his disposal. But Bolton’s lack of genuine wide men will see Coyle attempt to loan Weiss, who will need to get games under his belt if his wishes to play under his father for Slovakia at the World Cup.
The tricky winger made his first team debut at Eastlands last season but really burst onto the scene grabbing a goal for City against Arsenal in the Carling Cup quarter finals this past December. Although being handed a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2012, Weiss has only featured for City against Middlesbrough in the FA Cup since his goal scoring cameo against Wenger’s side and thus would be open to a move to Bolton in order to get more playing time.
Another player Coyle is is looking to bring to the Reebok having shown interest whilst Burnley manager is Arsenal youngster Jack Wilshere. The youngster had been slated for his performance against West Ham in the FA Cup so Wenger could be willing to let him leave the Emirates if Coyle is genuinely willing to hand the midfielder first team experience.
