Crocked Man United defender set for return next month

shawManchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have cursed their injury luck all season but the latest news has got them beaming from ear to ear, amid suggestion one man could return earlier than initially thought.

The Telegraph states England international Luke Shaw will return to training with Manchester United next month, after an injury absence that has stemmed back to September.

Young full-back Shaw broke his leg in United’s Champions League group stage defeat against PSV Eindhoven and it was initially thought that he would not feature again this season, whilst his involvement in the summer’s European Championship was also in jeopardy.

However, Shaw is set for a return earlier than expected and could feature again for the Red Devils before the end of the season.

The 20-year-old is progressing well and news of his recovery will also be a boost for England boss Roy Hodgson, who is lacking a quality starting left-back for the tournament- although our landlord feels that due to the extend of Shaw’s long-term absence, the youngster should be given the summer off.

United fans, do you think you’ll see Shaw before the season finishes? Let us know in the comments below!
