Crucial Manchester City defender hints at exit

Pablo Zabaleta The Manchester City fans are gathered around the jukebox in The Transfer Tavern and discussing reports that one of their international defenders could be set for a move away from the club.

The Sun is reporting that Argentine right back Pablo Zabaleta could look for a move away from the Etihad Stadium during the summer.

Zabaleta has suffered and injury ridden season so far and with Bacaray Sagna in the form of his City career is having to make do with making just seven appearances so far this term.

With former City boss Roberto Mancini interested in taking the defender to Inter Milan a summer move could be on the cards. Speaking about his future, Zabaleta said:

“At the end of this season I will have one more year left on my contract. Normally the end of this season will be the time to decide what we will do. As a player I still think I have two or three years left at the top level, but in football things change quickly.”

“I am enjoying myself at this great club, and at the end of this season we will have a conversation. I want to finish the season here and am not thinking of going anywhere.”

The City fans in The Tavern are disappointed to hear that Zabaleta could be set for a summer move away from the club and hope that he decides to remain at the club.
