A lot has been spoken about Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s future at Crystal Palace as the youngster continues to impress with his performances.
The 21-year-old right-back has started to emerge as a potential star in the game after a number of solid displays for The Eagles this season.
The defender is thought to have alerted a number of possible suitors, but Roy Hodgson will be reluctant to see Wan-Bissaka leave Selhurst Park in the summer.
However, it appears the club may have started to look at contingency plans should a move happen.
According to a report by The Sun, Chelsea’s Reece James is believed to be a possible target for the south London outfit.
It is claimed Crystal Palace are ‘checking on’ the right-back as a possible replacement, with the 19-year-old currently impressing on loan at Wigan Athletic in the Championship.
First things first, Crystal Palace will not want to lose Wan-Bissaka in the summer and will do all they can to keep him on the club’s books.
However, should an offer come in for their rising star, James may not be a bad option for The Eagles to consider.
As mentioned, the 19-year-old has been impressive with Wigan this season who looks to have a bright future in the game and Palace could be the perfect club for him to continue his development in the future.
