Crystal Palace struggled to ensure consistency last season as they nearly suffered relegation to the Championship, so improvements are definitely required before the start of the new campaign.
The Eagles haven’t exactly enjoyed the best of times so far this transfer window as they’ve only managed to bring in a goalkeeper on a free transfer. But, it looks as if Roy Hodgson is finally attempting to splash the cash, as according to The Times, Crystal Palace have declared an interest in signing Liverpool striker Danny Ings.
Crystal Palace are the latest club to declare an interest in signing Danny Ings from Liverpool.
However, the Merseyside club want £20 million for his services, and Newcastle United, Leicester City and Southampton have already reportedly placed bids.
The Englishman has been told that he can find a new club, but he wants to play at a high level next season, so he may need some convincing to join Palace, who battled against relegation for much of last term.
So, it looks as if Crystal Palace are plotting an ambitious move for an attacking star that has already shown he can score goals earlier on in his career. Although, the move for the forward is rather ambitious as he wants to play at a high level, which wasn’t exactly what the Eagles managed last season as they flirted with the possibility of relegation.
