The Crystal Palace fans in the Transfer Tavern are rubbing their hands together near the bar in anticipation of a potential cut-price deal becoming reality.
The Sun have stated that Crystal Palace are looking to strengthen their midfield with the signing of Alex Song.
The ex-Arsenal man, who currently plays for West Ham, is seen as an ideal member to Pardew’s squad. Plus, he could cost them as little as £4 million.
Barcelona paid £15 million for song from Arsenal in 2012 but after an unsuccessful time with the Spanish champions he was shipped off to West Ham.
Song has found first team opportunities difficult at West Ham and Bilic has already told him that he will not be signed on a permanent basis. With Barcelona’s reluctance to keep, him Crystal palace will look to swoop in and secure a cheap deal.
The major stumbling block is Song’s £80,000 a week contract and so the Cameroonian may have to take a pay cut if he is to move to Palace.
Palace fans…. Would you like Song at your club? Or should he go elsewhere? Comment bellow with what you think.
