Many Crystal Palace fans have been discussing an injury update involving Jeffrey Schlupp which recently emerged on social media.
Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson recently gave an update about Schlupp’s fitness situation. The Eagles boss confirmed that the 28-year-old felt a hamstring pull in the club’s recent win over Sheffield United and that his situation is currently ‘concerning’. Hodgson revealed that Palace could miss him for a while.
Is Schlupp Palace's most underrated player?
A report from the Daily Mail has confirmed that the former Leicester star will undergo tests on Monday and there are concerns that he could miss up to a month’s worth of action. Schlupp had scored the first goal of the game against the Blades, but he was replaced by Eberechi Eze after the injury and the former Queens Park Rangers man who replaced him scored a goal of his own too.
The left midfielder has been a regular for the Eagles this season, playing 15 times in the Premier League, scoring two goals and picking up one assist. He had scored a goal against Tottenham and grabbed an assist against Man Utd (as per Transfermarkt).
While that is a reflection of how important Schlupp is for the Eagles, many Palace fans began talking about the update involving the 28-year-old. CPFC Xtra relayed the update on Twitter.
What did Palace fans make of the update about Schlupp?
“Shame…he’s been our best player for the last few games”
“He will be sorely missed. Vastly underrated player, so versatile and is clinical with his chances. Can play out up and down the Left Flank, out wide on the RW/RM and even as a wide cover style CM.”
“Huge blow if true”
