Crystal Palace: Fans discuss kit that brings ‘jinx’

Many Crystal Palace fans have asked the club never to bring back a certain kit that has bad memories.
The Palace official club shop account @CPFCShop tweeted about a one-off yellow and black kit – used in Crystal Palace’s FA Cup final replay against Manchester United in the 1990s – which brought back many a bad memory.
Has Gary Cahill been one of the signings of the summer?
Yes

No

The club went on to lose the replay 1-0 after a 3-3 thriller in the first final, with a goal from Lee Martin.
The kit was the traditional Palace stripes but instead of red and blue it was black and yellow and was only ever used in that match.
It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise then that Palace fans see this shirt as a ‘jinx’, with one Palace fan describing the game as the worst night in his Palace supporting life.
Many other fans responded with a similar tone, suggesting that the kit should be forgotten as soon as possible.
Here are some of the replies below…
Bringing out the shirt we wore on the worst night in my Palace supporting life? No thanks!
