Many Crystal Palace fans have given their response to the news that Andros Townsend’s wonder strike has been nominated for the Puskas Award.
Townsend’s scorcher versus Manchester City was a 30-yard screamer that helped Palace win the game 3-2, which put Liverpool in the ascendancy for the Premier League as City dropped four points behind.
Townsend is part of a 10-strong shortlist which also includes Matheus Cunha, Juan Fernando Quintero, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Lionel Messi, Ajara Nchout, Fabio Quagliarella, Amy Rodriguez, Billie Simpson and Daniel Zsori.

There were a few who reminisced about the sheer quality of the goal, while there were also others who got reminded just how much they miss Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
